It’s cloud-based, easy to use, and makes collaboration smooth whether you're doing your own books or working with an accountant (like me).

Xero is another great choice for small business accounting. Many of my accounting colleagues recommend it for its simple design, cloud-based access, and smooth collaboration features. It helps business owners stay organized, manage invoices and expenses, and always have a clear view of their finances from anywhere.

Relay Financial makes business banking and cash flow management simple. You can open accounts, issue virtual cards to control spending, send invoices, receive payments, and easily move money in and out of your business—all in one place.

Bill (formerly Bill.com)

A solid option for managing accounts payable and bill approvals if your business is a little more complex. It helps you stay organized and keeps the payments flowing without the spreadsheet chaos. Bill has also expanded their services to include spend management through their acquisition of Divvy. If you have multiple company cards this is a great way to lock down spending.
